GR8 Divn last weekend Friday 10/16 through Sunday 10/18 concluded a wonderful 2009 season at Cottonwood Cove. We had 35 divers and non divers show up with 27 staying over on the house boats. Activities included diving for fun, open water classes and stress and rescue specialty course. Saturday night potluck produced more food than we could eat. Back by popular demand were Ziti and Potroast also we had BBQ chicken and pork, pasta, salad, mash potatoes, ribs and much more....
Remembering back to February when we started the season when the water was a balmy 54 degrees last weekend it was 68 degrees. Visibility was 20 plus.
We would like to congratulate Crystal and Shaun our newly certified open water divers. Rachael, Randy, Toni and Greg completed their Stress and Rescue specially course. Laura, Connie and Ken completed their first open water session. Melissa and Eric dusted off their gear with Scuba skills update. Marilyn who completed her certificationin Bonaire suited up in her new 7mm Xcel bamboo wetsuit with hood to weight out for California in two weeks.
We would like to thank all who participated this weekend and through out the year. Our special gratitude to all of the Cottonwood Cove staff who consistently provide superior service and hospitality.
